Saitek TPM 3axis - USB, April 22, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Saitek PRO Flight TPM System - Throttle/Prop/Mixture Axis (Personal Computers) Saitek has 3 Throttle,Propeller,Mix control. (1) TPM Yoke extension, (2) TPM Quadrant (for multi engine), and (3) Linear TPM which emulates the push/pull control for smaller GA aircraft. This review is for the latter. The controller had 5 stars from me for the linear pull TPM controls and then lost them all with the on/off toggle switches from Frakensteins lab. (1) has beautiful mom-off-mom rockers and even the Saitek Switch panel has pretty rocker switches. What happened Saitek? Run out of pretty rockers ... big clunky on/off toggles was the only thing left?
If Saitek wanted to sell more of these, they would implement this change in Linear TPM 2.0. First, there are 9 on/off toggles (3 x 3). They should take the bottom two rows and replicate the 3 mom-off-mom switches at the bottom of (1). Nice, clean, and modern looking. The top row of three switches should be replaced with the on/off rockers that are found on Saiteks Switch controller. Quite a few controls in FSX... Read more

So Disappointed - Throttle Doesn't Work for Half the Settings, July 15, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Saitek PRO Flight TPM System - Throttle/Prop/Mixture Axis (Personal Computers) I originally wrote this as a response to someone else's review, but I think it should be easier for people to know about a problem with this controller.
First of all, I have several Saitek products, including the yoke, rudder pedals and throttle quadrant. I have never had a problem with any of them in FSX until I purchased the TPM.
Unfortunately, the TPM's throttle control doesn't work - it smoothly works from full idle to about halfway in, but then it "jumps" to full throttle in FSX. I've lost half my throttle control using the TPM (can't set a cruise RPM, can only go from descent RPM to full). I've downloaded all the latest drivers from Saitek, reset my FSX profile, and scoured the web. Unfortunately, it looks like the problem I'm having affects other users of the TPM as well ([...]), but the only "fix" is to delete a registry key, but the problem will come back.

A great addition to a home cockpit, May 26, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Saitek PRO Flight TPM System - Throttle/Prop/Mixture Axis (Personal Computers) The Saitek TPM (throttle, propeller, mixture) works like the rest of their pro flight line. The levers move smoothly in and out with a nice amount of pressure. The only thing that is missing is the twist (screw) out/in of real Cessna type levers. Given the cost of this unit that was not expected. I am very happy with this addition to my home simulator.
